Life Flight 1 is located adjacent to the Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center on Cherry St. in downtown Toledo, Ohio, and neighbors the Critical Care Transport Network headquarters where dispatching, administrative and educational operations are performed.

The Life Flight 1 hangar is a three aircraft hangar with a Jet A fueling station on site, and is the location where the bulk of the aircraft maintenance is performed. It houses an Augusta A109 Power helicopter, which is staffed with the Life Flight 1 crew consisting of a pilot, flight nurse and flight medic team. An Aerospatiale Dauphin helicopter is also housed there and is utilized as a back up aircraft. Pilots work twelve-hour shifts while the medical crews work twelve or twenty-four hour shifts. Their primary response area includes Monroe and Lenawee Counties in Michigan and Fulton, Henry, Ottawa, Wood and Lucas Counties in Ohio.

The Life Flight 1 hangar also houses specialized equipment for neonatal transports, a LifeStar Ambulance, Mobile Life 7, which is operated in partnership with Lifestar Ambulance, and Toledo Police and Fire Air One helicopter.

Life Flight 2 is based in a private hangar located at the Fulton County Airport in Wauseon, Ohio. It houses a Aerospatiale Dauphine helicopter that is staffed with a pilot, flight nurse and flight medic team. The pilots work twelve-hour shifts while the medical crews work twelve or twenty-four hour shifts. Their primary response area includes - Monroe, Lenawee and Hillsdale Counties in Michigan and Fulton, Williams, Paulding, Defiance, Henry and Lucas Counties in Ohio.

Life Flight 2 works in conjunction with Mobile Life 12 (based at the Fulton County Health Center) to provide rapid transport to patients in the western service area of the Critical Care Transport Network.

Life Flight 3 is based out of the Bluffton Airport and operates a Augusta A109 Power helicopter. The Augusta is equipped with IFR capabilities and can perform multiple roles that include single patient transports, multiple patient transports, and neonatal transports. It is staffed with a pilot, flight nurse and flight medic team. The pilots work twelve-hour shifts while the medical crews work twelve or twenty-four hour shifts. Their primary response area includes Allen, Putnam, Hancock, Hardin, Logan, Auglaize, Van Wert, Mercer, Shelby, and Wyandot counties.

Life Flight 4 operates out of a private hangar located on the premises of the Sandusky County Regional Airport. The Life Flight crew, consisting of a pilot, flight nurse and emergency medicine physician, respond in a Augusta A109 Power that is powered by dual 700hp Pratt and Whitney engines and cruises at a speed of 170 mph. The medical crew is able to respond anywhere within their designated service area in 10 minutes or less and is capable of transporting two patients.

The primary service area of Life Flight 4 includes the Lake Erie Islands, Ottawa, Erie, Huron, Sandusky, Seneca and Wood Counties. A Jeep Liberty is available at the hangar for crew members to respond by ground to scenes when the aircraft is down due to inclement weather.

Life Flight 5 is based at a private hangar located in Milan, OH at North Central EMS headquarters. It houses a Aerospatiale Dauphine helicopter that is staffed with a pilot, flight nurse and flight medic team. The pilots work twelve-hour shifts while the medical crews work twelve or twenty-four hour shifts. Their primary response area includes the eastern corridor of Northwest Ohio - Lorain, Erie, Huron, Sandusky, Seneca and Ottawa Counties, and the Erie Islands.
